Neat System Set up
Preparation
Submit a ticket for a Teams Room Pro license for the system
Plug the NeatPad into the network (requires PoE).
Plug the NeatBar into the network, plug it into power and plug the HDMI cable into HDMI1.
NeatPad
Select “English”.
Select “Set up NeatBar”.
Select the appropriate time zone.
Set it to use 24-hour time.
Confirm the serial number on the NeatPad matches the one displayed on the monitor.
Account Creation
Exchange Admin Center
Go to “Recipients” -> “Resources”.
Click on “Add a room resource”.
Create the new room (Get the room name from the office)
- Set the name, i.e. “ROOMNAME”
- Set the Resource email address to “ROOMNAME@forgen.com”
- On the Set Properties page, Click “Next”
- On the Booking Option page, change the Maximum duration to 8 hours
- On the Review Resources page, click “Create”.
Add the account credentials to BitWarden
MS365 Admin Center
Go to Users -> Active Users
Find ROOMNAME
On the General page, add them to the group “No_MFA_Service”
On the Licenses and Apps page, attach a “Microsoft Team Room Pro” license
NeatPad
Pair with NeatBar
Skip “Enter enrollment code”
Click “Share Analytics” (or not, whatever.)
Choose platform “Teams”
Wait for installation to complete
Launch Teams
Microsoft Device Login
Set up the NeatPad first
Go to https://microsoft.com/devicelogin
Input code from the NeatPad online
Choose “Sign in with another account”
Sign in with the “ROOMANME@forgen.com” credentials
It’s okay if it fails to pair.
Set up the NeatBar now
Go to https://microsoft.com/devicelogin
Input code from the NeatPad online
Choose “Sign in with another account”
Sign in with the “ROOMANME@forgen.com” credentials
It’s okay if it fails to pair.
Teams Admin Center
Go to “Teams Devices” -> “Teams Rooms on Android”
Checkmark the new ROOMNAME account.
Click on “Assign configuration”
Assign the appropriate configuration for the timezone it will be in.
Search for “Neat” to see the options
Test Configuration
Place a Teams call to the new room and confirm that audio and video are working
